The Village Academy

The Village Academy is a group of town, city and village schools that have joined together to provide the very best education for the children in our care and where we believe that education is very much a matter of the individual.

Home learning

During any isolation or lockdown we will be providing learning activities for the children to ensure their is no further loss of curriculum. In the Autumn we surveyed parents and children and have created a remote learning plan based on our findings.

During the current lock down the majority of our children are learning from home. We are constantly adapting and improving our offer to ensure we are providing the best work that we can.

Here is our remote learning document.

Below is a list of additional links for you and your child to explore should you wish to add any additional learning to that which is sent home.

We are using Tapestry as our main form of communication and Microsoft Teams as a method of handing work. Teams enables us to use the Microsoft office tools and enables the children to send back work.

Here is a range of sites that give some online activities, powerpoints and work sheets you can use. We will update weekly with what we are focusing in on class.

Here are some sites that give some general English Activities you can do with your children. You can also create an Oxford Owl log in to access appropriate online books to read.
