The following activities are to be used with 'The Zoo Vet' from Twinkl. This is available as an E-book.
The Zoo Vet-story sequencing cards- Can you remember the story in order?
The Zoo Vet-patient details activity sheet- Have fun with a bit of Role Play! Get a teddy and pretend to be a vet to make them feel better.
animal initial sounds powerpoint- this is a game to play where children need to identify the first sound in the word.
Psssttt..... Some of you have been asking what our secret to getting the children to tidy up is... It doesn't always work, but it might help!
Just a reminder to parents about the logins sent home before lock down. It is for a programme called 'Teach Your Monster to Read' and supports children's phonic learning. It is a fun way of teaching Phonics (and also makes your lives a little easier with home-schooling) in a systematic way, just like we would in school! I know some children have been using it at home, and it is an easy way to get children learning without the arguments and tantrums.
Welcome back to term 5! Here are some new activities to explore.
The following activities can be used alongside Twinkls E-book 'Stop Telling Fibs'. If you haven't made your free twinkl account yet, I highly recommend you do! There are some great resources and activities on there.
Oxford Owl website- You can make a free account and access lots of ebooks (including Phonic books)!
Creative writing prompt question writing frames- Please choose 1 or 2 to complete (Not all of them, I am not that mean!)
Take advantage of the beautiful spring weather and head outside! Can you collect some flowers and then paint or draw a picture? We would love to see a picture of them on Tapestry!
This is a game you could play with your family. You could use tricky words we have learnt (the, and, I, no, go, to, into, he, she, me) or phonemes from phase 2 or 3!
Easy Play Dough! Great for many different activities.
Paint bags are a lovely alternative for writing and mark making!
The weather has been lovely recently, why not enjoy the garden with this activity!
Fun and Games:
Addition machine- this game helps children to explore addition to 10!
Size sorting- sort the animals into smallest, biggest, shortest, tallest.
Geoboard- what shapes can you make? You can also download on tablet and phone!
